Sports are played at Optimus for exercise, enjoyment and relaxation. We regard friendly competition as an important tool for the students' educational development.

As the school feels that every student and every member of staff who appears in a sports competition for the Optimus is an ambassador for the school, we expect the participating players to:

be on time, dressed appropriately.
greet the opponents and the umpire / referee in a warm, friendly manner before an event and thank them afterwards.
play team sports in a team spirit, to the best of their ability, always encouraging the team mates and allowing the Captain to represent the team.
never query the referee's decision or show negative emotion.

In short, the Optimus player should win and lose in a civilised manner

Thinking, creating, connecting are at the heart of what we do at Optimus. Every day, we help children to develop the critical, foundational skills needed for a lifetime of learning; we encourage them to pursue their passions and apply their skills to solve meaningful problems; and we further our work together by communicating with honesty, openness, and respect. I invite you to learn more about Optimus—peruse our website or visit the school and see our exceptional programs in action!

Experience gained in two schools under my control has taught me that punishment does not purify, if anything, it hardens children.
