Sports Games

Participation in sports and games form an integral part of the Optimus curriculum. Optimus believes that organised sports activities teach the students about the importance of team work and the spirit of competitiveness.

Optimus wants every student to enjoy a sport, appreciate its nuances, relax and exercise all at the same time. The school encourages all students to choose at least one of the available sports and games and practice it regularly so that they will develop skills that are necessary to play at a competitive level. For the less serious player there are friendly games and inter-House competitions that can be enjoyed at a less demanding level.

The playing fields are extensive and include fields for Football, Cricket, Basket Ball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton and Volley ball. The school possesses a standard sized tracks and fields for almost all major athletic events.

The school offers the following Sports & games: Athletics, Football, Basket Ball, Volley ball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Cricket and swimming. Depending on the number of students opting for a particular game and their competitive levels and aspirations, professional coaches shall be engaged for higher level of coaching.
