The Optimus Public School is founded and funded by the Bhavani Educational Services Trust. The Trust’s Board of Trustees along with some specially invited experts in the field of education and administration will constitute a Board of Governors for the school.
The Board of Governors will offer the broad policies and directions for the administration of the school. A nominee of the Trust will serve as the Director of the school. He will be assisted and advised by the Administrator.
The Administrator is an educationist specializing in the formation of new institutions. He will be offering help and guidance to the school in its formative years. It is the responsibility of the Director and the Administrator to transform the Trust’s vision for the school into reality.
Initially, in the year 2010, the school is being started with classes from LKG to class Seven. As we progress, further classes will be added in the later years. Each grade or class will have two sections, each with a class size of about 25 pupils. Each class will have a designated class teacher, who shall be the first level contact point for parents who wish to discuss about their child’s progress.
The whole school will be headed by the Principal. The Principal serves as the educational leader of the Optimus Public School. He is responsible for managing the policies and procedures of the school. He will ensure that all students are supervised in a safe, peaceful and enjoyable learning environment that meets the vision and mission of the school. The Principal is responsible to the Director and the Trust.
The school will also have a Bursar, a professional financial administrator who will head the administrative office. The Head of Boarding, usually a senior member of the faculty, shall look after the boarding facilities in the hostel.
